Stella Veloce is a Sardinian composer and multi-instrumentalist. Holding a cello degree, she is currently studying composition at the Universität der Künste of Berlin. As a composer she works in the fields of instrumental acoustic music, performance art, sound art and stage music. Beside composition her activity as a musician ranges from pop music to free improvisation. Her work as a session musician in the pop music sphere and her research on extended instrumental techniques and collective improvisation influence greatly her work as a composer and feed her inclination for collaborative work. Veloce is co-founder of the new music and performance event series “Reflektor” happening quarterly in different venues in Berlin.
Lucie Vítková is a composer, improviser and performer (accordion, harmonica, voice and tap dance) from the Czech Republic, studying at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Marc Sabat. Her compositions focus on sonification (compositions based on abstract models derived from physical objects), while in her improvisation practice explores characteristics of discrete spaces through the interaction between sound and movement. In her recent work, she is interested in the musical legacy of Morse Code and the social-political aspects of music and art in relation to everyday life.
